Before the Night of the Hike:

Nag text si keneth sa akin kung tuloy daw kami for this adventure. So we decide to have a Brainstorming Decision Making with the 3 Founder of 5-star Hiker; Jonat, Keneth and Kuya B.

Keneth: Jonats and Michel.Ayoko tumuloy pag bad weather. Ala pa kasi ako raincoat. Baka magkasakit ako. ala pa ako leave.

Michael: Teka hindi pala ako cigurado. Baka kasi mag divisoria kami tom.confirm ko muna.

Ulan man o araw.

Jonat: Tara na keneth, New Experience to! Di pa tayo naghiking ng tagulan.

Michael: nong last time natin sa batulao nagpaulan kami diba. Pati malay nyo mabigyan tayo magandang weather tom. Inomkayo vitamin C.

Jonat: Magdala ako extra raincoat. Hindi tayo bibigyan ng bad weather bukas. Pero ang sure dun ay maputik.

Keneth: Jonats and michael. Game tom.

Jonat: Tara! Yehey!Doon na lang tayo mag decide if we continue the hiking.

Jonat: 6am! Bawal ang Late! malalagot kayo sa akin pag nalate kayo. hahahaha(with evil laugh)

Kay: Okie. see you tom. 6am ha.

We pray for a great weather and adventures.

Day of the Hike:

Be Proud Guys!

After 2 Decades, Dumating na rin si Keneth at Michael. Then we start our adventures going to Tagaytay.

We took a stop to KFC to buy some foods.

Habang nag hihintay kami ng Bus going to Nasugbu. All time Red.

We arrived at Brgy. Aga Sitio Bayabasan around 9:45am.

Nag sign up kami sa jump-off point.

At exactly 10:00pm, We start our journey going to the Summit of Mt. Talamitam. We are all excited to start this day with Hope of Conquering another Mountain with Safetrip and Fun Hike.

Aga. It’s a sign of creativity – making something out of nothing.

We did enjoy having peaceful moments with the river. It gave us enough courage to wash away our worries about the bad weather forecast of the mountain..

After this bamboo bridge, we start our real hike going to the summit.

10308739_10204432706755292_5508147773905253897_nDuring our Trekking, We spotted some great views that we would remember throughout the Hike.

Talamitam. I think this Mountain can be a great place to hike for all Mountaineers in the Philippines.

Mt. Talamitam can’t offer you trails like the Zigzag rocky road of Mt. Batulao, the 90 Degrees Climb of Pico de Loro’s Parrot’s Beak and Abundant Ecosystem of Mt. Makiling but I assure you that it can give you a cloud breaking Teletubby Hills, The Greenest Meadows and 360 degrees  Majestic Views in the Summit.

10801596_10204015382279365_5357970899738244495_n 10730818_10204015390359567_5797615161398440133_n

We were already nearing the summit and the Slope of the Mountain became more steep.

I did felt giving up during this final assault. I never expected to have this kind of hard treks because according to the blogs that I’d read, Mt. Talamitam was described as Baby Hike Mountain.

After 30 minutes of climbing the jagged trails, We reached the Summit of Mt. Talamitam. And the cold breeze of the mountain removed all the Pain, the Thirst and the Tiresome Atmosphere we all had during  the long arduous journey.

View from the summit of Mt. Talamitam

Then, We ate our pack lunch while the wind massaged our shoulders.

We arrived at the summit around 12:15pm. We decided to have only a quick stop-over because of the possibility of rain shower in the afternoon. However, we made sure that we were able to captures all the beauty of its Peak.

May alternative way pala – Less Steep at  Mas magadang daanan.

Jonat: haha Sino pumili?

Thanks Marco!

Marco is our Mountaineering Guide. He is a 4th year student from Brgy. Aga. And he plans to take Tesda Course for his college degree. During weekend,  He volunteers himself as a Guide to have an additional income for his schooling. For a time-being that we talk and hike together, I can say that he’s a person with a very responsible, energetic and steadfast attitude.

10846081_10204028405004925_9052302726939522420_n

We rest again in the Teletubby Grass land. We stay here for at least an hour. We enjoy a little chitchat about work and also the plans for our next Mountain.

10636330_10203014636635814_1000602093761890164_n

The most memorable conversation we had is about movie Reviews of Lucy – Alamat ng USB and Interstellar – Michael’s Curiosity.

There were also some unavoidable topics of battle between Boys and Girls resume and interviews on how to be in a relationship. It was fun having those kind of catching up stories about nonsense topics. haha peace

Before we ended our Mountain’s Trip, I would like to share to you the Prenuptial Photos of my friend Kay and Arvin:

During our descend, DK teach me a lot of things about mountains. He explained to me about different kind of Bamboo, Mongo and Bayabas. Iba talaga pag Taong Bundok. haha. peace DK!

10665855_10203014674956772_8713201998939729579_n

10690353_10204015370839079_7942602567959886823_n

I advice, when you plan to visit Mt. Talamitam, please don’t miss to take a bath in this very serene river.

Talamitam Shirts at Mountain Key Chains.

Aga sa kanilang mga tourista – Swimming in the River, Rappelling and Hiking.

With this kind of activities, You can expect to have more thrilling adventures in Mt. Talamitam.

To all Backpackers! Let’s go and explore this Mountain!

10363229_10204015410320066_5932619828973869656_n

It was around 3:30pm when we arrived at the Jump-off Point.

We took a group photo with Marco and thank him for a wonderful trip we had.

10170686_10204015417440244_8064086778148645756_n
